The Stakes: Competition runs in their veins for this father-daughter duo who want to put themselves and their relationship to the ultimate test. Sam wants to inspire women and young girls to show that they can do anything. For ex-NHL player and Stanely Cup champion Brad, after losing his brother suddenly and missing out on family moments because of his hockey career, he knows that the biggest currency in life is time – and that’s something he wants to make up for. Brad’s already won the biggest prize in hockey and now he’s looking to win THE AMAZING RACE CANADA with his daughter by his side.

What will you do with the prize money? Invest in my business and take a family vacation.

 

Audiences will know Brad from his 19 years playing in the NHL and winning the Stanley Cup in 2007 with the Anaheim Ducks. He is adamant that the support of his family was crucial to him having a successful professional hockey career. He has played for a total of seven NHL teams including the Buffalo Sabres, Vancouver Canucks, Phoenix Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche, Anaheim Ducks, Toronto Maple Leafs, and Detroit Red Wings.

 

Sam is used to being on the road. With her father’s career, she was moving to a new city every few years and learned the importance of cultivating connections wherever she went. This also sparked an interest in her about new cultures and experiences. By age 21, she had travelled to nearly 30 countries.

 

This father-daughter duo is looking forward to spending more time together on the Race and putting their relationship to the ultimate test. They also want to inspire other fathers and daughters because they know just how special that bond is.
