Bourbon brownies

Delicious, chocolatey and boozy—do we need to say more?

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup bourbon
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 large eggs, at room temperature
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup cocoa powder
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate, chopped
- 1/2 cup toasted pecans, chopped
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F and spray an eight-inch by eight-inch pan with cooking spray and line with parchment paper.
- To a large mixing bowl add melted butter, both sugars, bourbon and vanilla. Using a hand mixer beat to combine. Add eggs one at a time and continue to beat until the mixture is fully incorporated.
- In a separate small mixing bowl add flour, cocoa powder and sugar and whisk to incorporate.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet and beat until just combined. Fold in the chocolate and pecans.
- Pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and bake for 24 minutes. Remove from the oven and let cool completely in the pan.
- Slice and enjoy!
