1 raw sugar cube

Splash soda

0.75 oz cognac

4 oz chilled sparkling wine

1 sash angostura bitters (optional)

Garnish: mint and fun fruit
Directions
- In the bottom of your chilled julep cup, place the sugar cube. Top with a splash of soda.
- Muddle until sugar cube is properly dissolved.
- Add five leaves of mint. Very lightly muddle (massage into your sugar, don’t hurt it).
- Add cognac. Add chilled sparkling wine. Fill with crushed ice.
- Slide your julep straw down and very lightly stir.
- Top with your mint crown and other seasonal fruit (maybe a strawberry, blackberry or pineapple!)
