This delicious side dish will make you want to eat all of your vegetables! Made with button mushrooms, crispy bacon, parmesan cheese and garlic, this creamy side dish is packed with flavour and nutrition.

  • 3 cups of washed button mushroom (if the mushrooms are really big cut then in half)
  • 3/4 cup of cooked chopped bacon
  • 1/4 cup of butter
  • 1 cup of whipping cream
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons of chopped garlic
  • 1 tablespoon salt and black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 cup of grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon chopped parsley

  1. Add mushrooms to a pot of salted boiling hot water. Cook for four to five minutes.
  2. Add chopped bacon to a hot skillet and cook 50 percent through.
  3. Add butter, garlic, paprika and salt and pepper to the skillet with the bacon.
  4. Remove mushroom from the pot and add to the skillet with the bacon. Make sure your skillet is on medium heat.
  5. Add cream to the skillet and let it simmer for two to three minutes. Add your Parmesan cheese and chopped parsley to the cream and gently stir until it thickens up.
  6. Plate in a bowl and garnish with a bit more Parmesan cheese and parsley.
  7. Serve and enjoy!
