20 Mins
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups beer
1 package full fat cream cheese
2 cups cheddar cheese
1/2 cup bacon diced, and cooked
2 tablespoon sweet onion, sliced and fried
4 hot dogs (OR, you can use your favorite sausage)
4 hot dog buns
Directions
Prepare stovetop to high heat.
Pour the beer into a pot, and then add hot dogs. Boil for ten minutes.
Remove hot dogs from beer and place on a grill.
Grill for another three to four minutes, until you have nice grill marks.
Reduce beer in pot to one cup. Place back on burner on medium-high heat.
Add the cream cheese and cheddar cheese to the heated beer.
Whisk/mix until combined and thickened.
You can also add two to three tablespoons of bacon into the cheese mixture, if you want to make the sauce extra bacon-y.
Assemble your beer-dogs:
Place hot dog on bun.
Top with generous amount of cheese sauce.
Top with bacon and fried onions.
Serve with a cold glass of beer.
