Tangy Caprese Salad

This tangy Caprese salad is the perfect addition to a grazing platter for your next camping trip! Made with ripe, juicy tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, fresh basil and a sweet and tangy pesto balsamic dressing for an extra punch of flavour in every bite.



Tangy Caprese Salad

  • 1 tablespoon pesto
  • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
  • 3-4 medium tomatoes, sliced
  • 1 (8 oz) ball fresh mozzarella, sliced
  • Fresh basil leaves to serve
  • Extra-virgin olive oil, for drizzling
  • Flaky sea salt and freshly ground black pepper to season


For the Balsamic Pesto Mix

  1. In a bowl, combine the pesto and balsamic vinegar. Set aside for serving.

Assemble the Salad

  1. Arrange the tomatoes, mozzarella, and basil leaves on a platter.
  2. Drizzle with olive oil, sprinkle with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  3. Dollop with the balsamic pesto mix. Serve with your choice of bread, olives, nuts, etc. Enjoy!
