If you're looking for a last minute addition to your Thanksgiving menu, Jamie Milne is sharing her go-to recipe for her delicious cheesy garlic bread, made with a soft crispy baguette, butter, sage, and brown sugar.
SERVES
4
Ingredients
Garlic Bread
2 garlic bulbs
1 tbsp olive oil
Salt and pepper to season
1 oval baguette
1 stick unsalted butter
2 tsp brown sugar
1 tsp chili flakes
Salt to taste
Directions
Preheat oven to 425F degrees.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Cut the tip off of the garlic bulb and place garlic on tin foil. Drizzle olive oil over top and salt. Cover garlic with tin foil and place in the oven for 40-45 minutes.
Once garlic has about five to ten minutes left in the oven, slice baguette lengthwise and place both halves on baking sheet and set aside.
Remove garlic from oven and once cooled, remove garlic from tin foil.
Set oven to 350F degrees.
In a medium bowl, combine room-temperature butter, chili flakes, brown sugar, salt and roasted garlic. Mix together until combined.
Spread butter mixture on both halves of bread.
Add garlic bread to oven and bake for 12-15 minutes until it is crispy and butter has melted.
