Many of us are excited to be planning Thanksgiving get togethers, and to help the ease that pre-meal holiday stress, let's focus on crowd-pleasing appetizers and the perfect wine pairings to go with them! No matter if you're planning a cocktail party of a sit down dinner, entertainment specialist Sebastian Centner is sharing his ultimate pairings for you to share with your friends and family.

Butternut squash soup paired with white wine

White wine is concentrated and creamy but not overly showy. The Kendall Jackson chardonnay 2019 is balanced, restrained and layered. It meshes an apple-tart flavour with a sublte vanilla and nutmeg nuances while underlying acidity achieves excellent balance. This is a perfect pair for the fall flavours this soup offers!

Fall salad with figs paired with sparkling wine

La Marca Prosecco gives off a vibrant bouquet of apple, white peach and honeysuckle. The soft, harmonious fruity notes highlighted by pleasant acidity make this wine ideal for a light fruity salad like an endive and baby mixed greens salad with crumbled goat cheese, walnuts and sliced digs.

Charcuterie board paired with red wine

A charcuterie board pairs very well with red wine, and Sebastian reccomends the Carmen Gran Reserva Cabernet Sauvignon 2018 for. it's blackberry flavour with undertones of dark chocolate and flowers. With its medium body, tight and firm tannins and flavourful finish, it brings a bit of fruity sweetiness to the salty cheese and meats.
