What you need

  • Round cake pan
  • Polystyrene sheet* at least the wide of the pan (Use the plastic sheet insert that comes with a photo frame. Rigid sheet of plastic that can also be bought separately at a craft or hardware store)
  • Small decorative stones
  • Artificial succulents
  • Super glue
  • Marker
  • Scissors
  • Large picture hanging strips

Steps

  1. Lay your cake pan upside down halfway over the edge of the plastic sheet.  Trace around the pan in a semi-circle.  Cut it out slowly so it doesn’t crack.
  2. If there’s plastic wrap on your sheet, remove it from both sides.
  3. Use a strong glue to stick your semi-circle to the lower part of the pan.
  4. Press it to dry. Some glue takes as little as 30 seconds to dry but 24 hrs to fully cure so make sure you read the directions!  To be safe, you may want to set this aside overnight and continue the next day.
  5. Stick your hanging strips on the back.
  6. After the glue dries, fill the bottom with stones and add your succulents.
  7. Now you’re ready to hang!
