Winter is just around the corner and instead of hiding out in your house all day, why not embrace the cold and go on a fantastic winter vacation? Travel expert and founder of Travel & Style MagazineJennifer Weatherhead Harrington is here to show us all the wonderful places you'll want to vacation this winter.

Quebec City

There's no better place to have a romantic winter weekend escape in Canada than Quebec City! There are tons of cozy nooks, cafes and restaurants to keep you warm as you wander through the old city streets. There are also many inconic winter activities - including the Quebec Winter Carnival! Why not save money money and take a vacation right here in Canada? No need to worry about tricky conversions or surprises on your credit cards post-vacation.

Vienna, Austria

Vienna is a city that will make you love the winter! You'll be able to visit gorgeous Christmas markets all over the city and are even renowned as the prettiest in Europe. You can always warm up with hot cider, mulled wins and warm up by a cozy fire pit while listening to carols. Even during non-holiday season, Vienna is a winter-friendly city with warm coffee shops, museums and snowy activities just outside the city. Pklus, no Visa is needed for visits under 90 days.

Park City, Utah

Deer Valley and Park City arguably have some of the best skiing in North America! It's the perfect place for ski and snowboard lovers to hit the slope. It’s a relatively easy flight to Salt Lake City from a lot of Canadian airports (4-5 hour flight times). If you're a true skier, you’ll love the new Ikon Pass. It has access to 36 destinations around the world, including unlimited access to Tremblant and Blue Mountain

Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands is basically a more affordable trip to Iceland! It has incredible rustic coastlines and cliffs that are totally Instagram-worthy! Since the winter is the off-season for them, it's a bit more affordable but keep in mind this trip is definitely for those of you who want to wander and adventure on their own. The Faroe Islands are right off the east coast of Iceland, west of Norway and north of Scotland.

Lapland, Finland

If you Google this location, it's basically a beautiful winter wonderland! Reindeer, the Northern Lights, staying in clear igloos to star gaze and fluffy white snow are just some of the amazing things you'll be able to see! This is truly the place you'll want to go and embrace the winter and snow. There’s plenty of adventure for the active crowd (snowshoeing and dog sledding) and you can’t forget to sauna after the cold (a Finnish tradition) for those who want to have some relaxation.
