Wendy Murphy's outlook on coping with difficult obstacles is the inspiration we all need to hear

At the age of 19, Wendy Murphy was involved in a serious car accident that impacted her mobility as well as took the life of her best friend. Initially, when faced with this severe adjustment of life in a wheelchair, Wendy had a hard time accepting that it was her new reality. After a period of extensive rehabilitation, she was able to regain her confidence and independence while fighting her way back into mainstream society. She decided that she wasn't going to let her disability stand in the way of conquering her goals or limiting her ambitions.

When it comes to hardships, Wendy says that choosing to overcome them is the only way to avoid feeling defeated. Her book, Wendy Murphy's Law, dives into the long-term effects of her accident and how she was able to make gratifying career and life choices while also making a difference for the physically challenged community.
