If you've been needing to indulge in a little self-care but haven't gotten around to it yet, we've got you covered! Eco expert Candice Batista walked us through three simple DIYs that are perfect for when you want extra pampering at home. Best of all, you likely already have most of the ingredients sitting in your fridge or pantry.

CITRUS DETOX FACE MASK

It's no secret that facemasks that one of the biggest aspects of self-care days lately. Citrus foods, such as grapefruit, are packed with natural acids that help to get rid of dead skin while also fighting free radicals with its natural retinol. Yogurt helps to moisturize the skin and thanks to probiotics it can also help reduce inflammation, which many of us could use right now!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 of a grapefruit
  • 1/3 of a cup of organic full-fat yogurt

Steps

  1. Add the grapefruit juice and yogurt to a bowl then mix well.
  2. To use, apply a thick layer of the mix to a clean, dry face. 
  3. Leave the mask on for 8-10 minutes then rinse.
  4. Follow with your favourite serum or face cream.

SWEET ON YOU BATH SOAK

For those looking to make their next bath as relaxing and nourishing as possible, this one's for you! Honey is a natural humectant that helps the skin retain its moisture, while milk contains lactic acid which will help get rid of dry skin. Plus, essential oils are smells incredible and can be extremely calming!

Ingredients

  • 3tbs of organic honey
  • 1 and a half cups of full-fat milk

Steps

  1. Add the milk, honey and essential oils to a bowl then give it a good whisk.
  2. Add the mixture to a warm bath.
  3. Sit back, relax and enjoy!

MINTY FRESH FOOT SCRUB

Got dry, flaky feet? This is the recipe for you! The combination of sugar and salt will help to get rid of unwanted dry skin while the Epsom salt will reduce inflammation and soothe the feet. While you can use any oil you have in your kitchen for this DIY, avocado oil is packed with fatty acids that work as a great moisturizer. 

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup of organic brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup of Epsom salts
  • 1/4 cup of avocado oil
  • 15-20 drops essential oils
  • Mixing bowl

Steps

  1. Combine all the ingredients into a bowl.
  2. Mix well, then transfer to a jar.
  3. Store in a cool, dark place for 2 months.
  4. To use, soak your feet in warm water and vinegar to soften the skin.
  5. Scoop out about 2 tbs of the mixture and rub or massage it into the feet.
  6. Rinse then follow with a good lotion.
