Move over earth tones, these bright hues are taking over fall fashion

If ever there was a time to be a little bolder with your style, it's now.

Fall is in full swing but the trends that are emerging are anything but typical for this time of year. Bright hues are all the rage right now - we're talking neon, super-saturated tones like orange, magenta and Kelly green. Basically every hue we would normally see in the spring and summer. Now that we're out and about again, why not make a statement! Black coats and hunter green sweaters will always have a place in our closet but adding in some brighter shades as the days the shorter will boost your style and your mood. Here are Mana Mansour's top picks:

Outerwear

We're seeing bright saturated tones in all different kinds of outerwear, from elevated faux fur coats to wear-resistant puffers. A great way to add this trend to your wardrobe is with an outerwear piece. It's usually the piece that covers everything else you wear, so have fun with it. Keep in mind to either wear neutrals underneath so it's not competing or do a more monochromatic look, creating a more cohesive look. The important thing to remember is the colour is the only thing trendy about this piece, the fit is very important because it will make it have more longevity.

Knitwear

This fall, sweaters are making a fashion-forward statement in brighter-than-ever neon and saturated colours. Trying out bright hues through a knitwear piece is a great way to add a cool-girl flair to your look while keeping warm. Mana suggests trying to find a knit with a generous neckline like a v-neck or a cardigan with buttons. You can throw on a neutral blouse of a turtleneck underneath to break up the bright colour, while still allowing it to pop through in your outfit. You don't have to go head-to-toe with this trend, think accessories and footwear to add small neon elements to any look.

Pattern play

Take the guesswork out of what to wear with bright hues by pulling from all the colours combined in the pattern you're wearing. We're seeing this in a lot of accessories, for example opting for plaid but injecting it with neon pinks and bright reds. If you don't want to invest that much, a great low price option is to do it through a cozy scarf
