Pastels are back for spring and we have one word: obsessed. Think mint greens, blushing pinks, buttercup yellows and sky blues. Whether you’re heading to the office or having an informal moment, style expert Denise Caldwell shares four ways to incorporate these delicate shades for any occasion.

Workwear

Rock pastels in the office this season and stand out from the crowd of black pantsuits. Breathe new life into your workweek with soothing yet chic colours like lavender and powder blue. We love this high-waisted and tailored set from Zara for the slightly wide legs—perfect for all body types. The colour coordinates well with collared and structured shirts, so you can still have a corporate feel in your outfit.

And don’t forget accessories! Swap out your classic pump for sneakers to keep it comfortable, and add a pair of sunglasses to add a little something extra (plus some much-needed shade for that outdoor lunch break!).

The Weekender

Coloured denim is making its comeback this year, and we’re totally here for it. Revitalize your wardrobe with soft coloured denim that works great for breezy spring temperatures. Try something new and mix up cool pastel tones to add personality to your casual look.

If you’re looking for the perfect spring blazer, we love this powder blue one from H&M because it’s the perfect complementary colour for all skin tones and it is a great alternative to a denim jacket. Plus, adding white accessories like shoes and a cute bag, will streamline the look to refine the colour mixing.

Brunch Date

This is the perfect outfit for any kind of day date or brunch gathering. We can’t get enough of the midi-maxi length of this skirt from H&M, plus the florals bring a feminine vibe to your outfit. Keep it simple on the top with a white t-shirt to pull the entire look together. Add the perfect layering piece aka the leather jacket over top and you’re ready for whatever the day brings you.
