Preheat the oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Unroll one can of crescent dough and press the perforations together so that the sheet is solid. Cut the dough into 8 squares. Repeat with the second can.
Using a metal straw, punch two eyes and mouth towards the centre of each dough square. Then drape loosely the dough over an upright hot dog positioning the eye holes towards the front. Repeat with the remaining dough and hot dogs.
Set the ghosts upright on the flat end of the hot dog on the baking sheet, slightly spacing them apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the dough is puffed and slightly golden.
