Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
Without separating, use a serrated knife to slice the entire slab of Hawaiian rolls horizontally in half. Place the bottom half on the baking tray, and spread with the mustard.
To a medium bowl, add the shredded cheese and ham, and mix together. Spread the cheese mixture over the bottom half of the rolls. Then place the top half of the rolls back on top.
To a small bowl, add the melted butter, maple syrup, garlic powder, thyme, and salt to taste. Mix well, and brush the butter generously over the rolls.
Cover the baking sheet loosely with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes.
