Honey Deuce (Monica Carbonell)

Honey Deuce

The official cocktail of the U.S. Open.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Vodka
  • 2 oz Lemonade
  • 0.5 oz Freshly Squeezed Lemon Juice
  • 1/3 oz Raspberry Syrup
  • 3 Melon Balls for Garnish

Directions

  1. Fill a Collins glass with ice and add in all your ingredients.
  2. Skewer three melon balls and garnish on top.
  3. Stir to combine.

To make the Raspberry Syrup:

In a small saucer, combine 1 cup of fresh raspberries with 0.5 cup water and 0.5 cup granulated sugar. Stir and bring to a boil, and then reduce the temperature to a simmer for 5 minutes before straining. Let this syrup come to room temperature and store in the fridge for up to one week.

Clay Cup (Monica Carbonell)

An earthy and warming spin on the traditional Pimm’s Cup.

Ingredients

  • 2.5 oz Pimm’s
  • 1 oz Carrot Juice
  • 1 oz Lemonade
  • 1 oz Lemon Juice
  • 1.5 oz Ginger Beer
  • 6 dashes Angostura Bitters
  • 3 Carrot Ribbon (lined along glass)
  • 1 Orange Wheel Slice
  • 2 Lemon Wheel Slices
  • 1 large Mint Sprig

Directions

  1. Line your Collins or hurricane glass with carrot ribbons.
  2. Add Pimm’s, lemonade, bitters and lemon juice and layer ice and citrus wheels between each other until you reach the rim of your glass.
  3. Top with ginger beer and garnish with a mint sprig.

Match-Point Smash

A whisky-based take on Wimbledon’s Strawberry Smash.

Ingredients

  • 2 oz Whisky
  • 0.75 oz Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice0.25 oz Green Chartreuse
  • 0.5 oz Rich Simple Syrup (2:1)
  • 4 Basil leaves (1 for Garnish)
  • 2 Strawberries (halved)
  • 4 Mint Leaves (1 for Garnish)

Directions

  1. In a shaker, lightly muddle basil, strawberries and mint.
  2. Add sugar, lime and whisky.
  3. Add a handful of regular ice, and shake well.
  4. Dump all the contents into your rocks glass and top with crushed ice.
  5. Garnish with basil and mint.
Sweet Spot (Monica Carbonell)

Sweet Spot

A refreshing tennis-ball yellow cocktail inspired by the U.S. Open’s Watermelon Slice.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz Gin
  • 1 oz Pineapple Juice
  • 0.5 oz Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 oz Lime Cordial
  • 0.5 oz Dillon’s Elderflower Liqueur
  • 2 oz Sparkling Wine or Champagne
  • 1 Watermelon Slice (for garnish)

Directions

  1. Fill a goblet or wine glass with ice.
  2. In a shaker, place your ice and combine all the ingredients, except the sparkling wine and watermelon slice, and give this a shake.
  3. Strain over the fresh ice in your glass and top with sparkling wine.
  4. Garnish with a watermelon slice.
