Chinese Dumplings (aka know as jiaozi or Gow Ji) has a history that traces back over 1800 years ago and a traditional dish eaten during Lunar New Year in China, especially northern China. Dumplings represent tradition, culture, love and unity. They can be eaten any time of day, but make an excellent brunch dish!
Siu mai is a type of dim sum dumpling that originated in Southern China and it is opened faced, as the wrapper doesn’t cover the entire filling. These are typically eaten during brunch. The fillings are typically made of pork, or pork with shrimp!
