The weather has finally warmed up and we can’t wait to attend some beautiful garden parties this summer. Cocktail expert, Erin Henderson shares four cocktails inspired by ingredients straight from your garden.

Strawberry shrub Collins

Shrubs, which come from the Arabic word sharāb meaning, “to drink,” has been used since the Babylonian times when flavoured vinegar was added to water to make it safe to drink. This is a straightforward blend of lemon juice, gin, and sugar.

Pineapple-jalapeño margarita

This is the perfect trifecta between fruity pineapple, tickling heat, and the refreshing green note of the fresh jalepeño.

Limoncello basil spritz

These flavours sing of summer. But there's no reason to end the party once the fall rolls around. Swap out basil for rosemary, for a cool-weather twist.

Watermelon mint daiquiri

This drink is fabulous on every level: it’s delicious, simple to prepare, and gloriously dramatic with its bright red colour, and fresh sprig of verdant mint from the top of the glass.
