Every year, Pinterest comes out with "Pinterest Predicts"—an annual not-yet-trending report of the trends expected to make it big within the year.

Pinterest's Editorial Lead, Mishal Cazmi, highlights some of the top beauty trends of 2025 and the products you can shop to acheive them.

CHERRY CODED

This burgundy hue is showing up on the runways, makeup, menus and moodboards. Think cherry martinis and cherry red lipstick. The trend is largely driven by Gen Z and Millennials. We've seen a 235% increase on dark cherry red!

Products to try:

e.l.f. Cosmetics Glow Reviver Lip Oil in Jam Session is a beautiful glossy cherry tint. It comes with a large applicator so you can apply the colour easily. The non-sticky formula is infused with nourishing oils and also has a great minty scent.

Kayali Lovefest Burning Cherry Eau de Parfum is a warm and sweet gourmand that features black cherry, rose and palo santo.

DOLLED UP

This trend is all about doll-like makeup in whimsical, pastel colours. We've seen searches for "doll like makeup" increase by +45%.

Product to try:

Merit Flush Balm is a natural, buildable blush that can be used on cheeks, but also lips or eyes. The brand recently launched new shades, which are now categorized under pops, pinks and neutrals. It gives you a lightweight, skin-like finish and a long-lasting glow. It's also buildable so you can dial it up as needed.

AURA BEAUTY

2025 will be the year of the makeup mood ring. It' all about homing in on a colour aesthetic and wearing it all over. Think "purple blush makeup," "aura effect" and "full colour makeup eyes."

Product to try:

Danessa Myricks Infinite Chrome Flakes Multichrome Gel for Eyes & Face is an innovative, self-setting, water-based gel formula with suspended multicoloured, multi-chrome flakes. As a topper, tap on lids with fingers over your favourite shadow, cream or powder. Use a flat brush for application if you want to wear on its own, which creates a cool foiled effect.

SEA WITCHERY

Think mermaidcore in its villain era. It's about sultry siren-inspired makaeup, slicked back hair, and opalescent manicures.

Products to try:

Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil is such a fun way to get the "Sea Witchery" look. Instead of a wash of colour, an eyeliner can help you create a sultry, smokey eye look.

Quo Beauty Flash Dry Nail Colour is another way to get the look. Two coats for a fast-drying polish, which is both long-wearing and creates a smooth, hard finish on nails. Add a topcoat to increase the wear of the manicure but can skip as well.

GODDESS COMPLEX

This trend is fueled by female empowerment and embracing yourself as a muse. It's everything from gold facials and goddess braids to gold nail designs.

Product to try:

Peter Thomas Roth 24K Gold Mask Pure Luxury Lift & Firm Mask is true to its name and is infused with pure 24K gold and collodial oatmeal. Those ingredients aren't just pretty to look at but have a purpose too, which is to help improve firmness of the skin and give it a glow.
