Having been an artist in one form or another his whole life, Jesse Toso credits his father, a carpenter, with his love and appreciation for wood. His very first time picking up a chainsaw was at the Campbell River Carving Competition, where he won first place in the amateur category. Toso has been carving ever since.

When he’s not competing, Toso focuses his artistic passion in creating wood sculptures and bespoke furniture for his woodworking business. His love for carving is an expression of his love and respect for the material.
