Known in the industry as the most quick-witted, fast-talking Irishman, John Hayes focuses on human connection. Raised by musicians, Hayes turned his passion to sports, becoming a competitive cyclist in his teens.

Hayes toured internationally and was planning to pursue a cycling career. Unable to read into his 30s, Hayes was able to navigate the many challenges this presented with his quick thinking, adaptability, and creativity. This resulted in him maturing into a talented furniture maker for many years. While unemployed and on a back-to-work program building parks, he was asked to try his hand at carving. He’s been a chainsaw carver ever since. At his very first competition, The English Open, he tied for third place.
