Ginger chestnut sour

A delightful combination of some scotch and nuttiness, paired with some warm winter ginger root and chestnuts.

Ingredients

  • 1 oz scotch
  • 0.5 oz sweet vermouth
  • 0.25 oz chestnut liquer
  • 0.25 oz ginger syrup
  • 1 oz lemon juice

Directions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, add scotch, vermouth, ginger syrup, chestnut syrup and lemon juice. 
  2. Add enough ice to cover the liquid in the shaker, plus a bit more. 
  3. Cover and shake vigorously for 10 to 15 seconds. 
  4. Strain into a 12-ounce rocks glass. Garnish with a ginger slice. Enjoy!
