Not a pumpin spiced latte

Who needs a #PSL when this winter-ready, warm toddy-style cocktail can fill your pumpkin craving? Bursting with pleasant textures, flavours, and bitterness, this easy-peasy drink whips up in minutes. Put everything in the microwave, heat a big batch on the stovetop, or serve it cold for delicious, savoury, sweet collins.

Ingredients
- Juice of 1/4 lemon
- 0.5 oz bourbon
- 0.5 oz chinotto reduction (a root and herb Italian soda)
- 4 oz black tea
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin puree
- Grated nutmeg, to garnish
Directions
- In a cocktail shaker, squeeze and add bourbon, chinotto reduction, black tea, and pumpkin puree.
- Cover and dry shake until pumpkin puree is broken down, about five to 10 seconds.
- For a hot cocktail: Pour contents into a heat-proof mug. Cover with a saran wrap and microwave on high for two minutes (or heat the mixture on medium-low heat in a pot on the stove). Enjoy!
- For a cold cocktail: Add ice and shake for 10 to 15 seconds—strain into a tall Collins glass. Garnish with grated nutmeg. Enjoy!
