Cracked black pepper roasted beef

Roast beef cooked to tender perfection and marinated in black pepper, garlic, and butter.

Ingredients
- 4-5 oz of beef per person
- Salt
- Black pepper
- Canola oil
- A clove of garlic
- 3 tablespoons of butter
- Fresh thyme
Directions
- Preheat the cast iron pan over medium heat. You’ll want a very hot pan but not a too hot
- Seasoned with kosher salt and cracked black pepper
- Add some canola oil to the pan, lay the beef in the pan, and sear on all sides, reduce the heat a touch
- Add a clove of garlic, three tablespoons of butter, and some fresh thyme to the pan, baste the beef with a large spoon and cook until medium rare, or your desired temperature.
- When you're finished cooking the beef, remove it from the pan and let the beef rest. Enjoy!
