Sugar-free apple crumble

Serve up this sugar-free dessert naturally sweetened with apples, monk fruit sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

Ingredients

  • 7-8 firm baking apples, peeled and cubed
  • 2 tablespoons monk fruit sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cinnamon
  • Pinch of nutmeg
  • Juice and zest of one lemon
  • 1 cup almond flour
  • 3/4 cup whole grain oatmeal
  • 1/2 cup butter

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375° F. 
  2. Toss apples with one tablespoon of monk fruit, lemon juice, and zest, one teaspoon of cinnamon, and nutmeg set aside. 
  3. In a large skillet on medium add half the butter. Then add the apple mixture and cook stirring for six to seven minutes until the apples start to soften. 
  4. Crumble the oats and almond flour together with the rest of the butter, monk fruit, and cinnamon.
  5. Evenly sprinkle the oat mixture over the apples. Then bake in the oven until soft and golden. 
  6. Serve with unsweetened whip cream. Enjoy!
