Ingredients
- 1/3 cup olive oil
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- Juice of 1 lime
- 2 teaspoons garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon black food colouring
- 12 full chicken wings, drumette and winglet attached
Directions
- Add olive oil, soy sauce, honey, lime juice, garlic powder, and black food colouring to a reusable plastic bag. Mix to combine.
- Add chicken wings and seal the bag. Mix well to coat and marinate for 12 hours.
- Using a toothpick, skewer the chicken wing across the joint between the drumette and winglet to stretch it out. This will help maintain the wingspan of the branch as it bakes.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lay a wire rack over top. Pat chicken wings to remove any excess moisture, and either allow to air-dry overnight or dry with a hairdryer on the relaxed setting to remove any excess water.
- Bake on a lined baking sheet on the convection setting at 425 F for 25 minutes.
- Serve with your favourite barbecue or hot sauce. Enjoy!
