Ingredients

  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 tablespoon fresh dill, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 package (12 count) King’s Hawaiian Rolls
  • 12 slices of deli honey ham
  • 3 slices of Swiss cheese, cut into fourths
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced (optional)
  • Poppy seeds (optional)

Directions

  1. Mix together mayo and chopped fresh dill, then set aside.
  2. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat, whisking frequently as you cook the butter. Once melted, the butter will foam up a bit, and then the foam will subside. Soon after, lightly browned specks will begin to form and the butter will have a nutty aroma, at which point you should turn off the heat before whisking in the Dijon mustard.
  3. Cut the King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half and spread the dill mayo onto the inside of the top half of the rolls, and the brown butter Dijon onto the inside of the bottom half of the rolls.
  4. Evenly distribute the slices of ham and then the slices of Swiss over the bottom half of the rolls, then bake at 350 degrees until the cheese is melted (5 – 10 minutes).
  5. Top with the thinly sliced red onions in an even layer if using, then add the top half of the rolls, and sprinkle on poppy seeds if preferred. Slice into individual sliders and serve warm
