Ingredients
Beet syrup:

2 liters water

1 large red beet grated with cheese grater

1 liter white sugar

The peel of 2 oranges
Beet lemonade:

500 milliliters beet syrup
-
500 milliliters lemon juice
-
1 orange sliced into rounds

1 stick rosemary
-
60 milliliters your favorite gin (or vodka)
Garnish:
-
Rosemary sprig
-
Orange peel
-
Grenadine and sugar rim
Directions
Beet syrup:
- Boil all ingredients for ten minutes.
- Strain threw a fine strainer.
- Discard beet pulp.
- Cool down the beet syrup until chilled.
Beet lemonade:
- Whisk together 500 milliliters of the beet syrup and 500 milliliters of the lemon juice.
- Fill a pitcher 1/2 with ice cubes.
- Pour in the beet lemonade.
- Add the orange slices and garnish with rosemary sprig.
- (Optional) Rim the glass with grenadine and sugar crust it with white sugar.
- Fill glass half full with ice and add 60 milliliters gin poured over ice.
- Fill remainder of cup with beet lemonade.
- Garnish with orange peel and rosemary sprig.
