Big Rod burger taco

For the tacos:

  • 455 grams ground beef
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • Kosher salt
  • Freshly ground black pepper
  • 4 sesame hamburger buns
  • 8 hard tacos
  • 8 slices American cheese
  • Shredded lettuce
  • 1 small onion fine diced
  • 1/2 cup thin sliced pickles

For the sauce:

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon mustard
  • 1 tablespoon pickle relish


  1. In a medium pan on medium high heat, add the oil. When it’s hot Add the ground beef a cook, breaking up the meat until brown and starting to crisp . Drain the fat.
  2. Return meat to skillet and add taco seasoning and season with salt and pepper to taste
  3. Separate hamburger buns and using a rolling pin, roll out hamburger buns to six millimeters thick. Place a slice of cheese on top of each bun and fold like a taco. Place buns in a toaster and toast until cheese is melty .
  4. Make sauce: In a medium bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, mustard, ketchup, and relish,

To build tacos:

  1. In the hard taco squeeze a little sauce. 
  2. Add the seasoned taco meat then layer in the cheese sesame bun , then the lettuce, pickles, onions and drizzle with more sauce.
