Pre-heat oven to 350° and line an 8” x 8” pan with parchment paper.
Soak the dried cherries with 1/4 cup of red wine for 30-40 minutes.
Melt butter and chocolate over double boiler (a metal or glass mixing bowl over a saucepan of simmering water) or in the microwave on high for 2 minutes. Once melted, add sugars, eggs and vanilla. Mix well. Sift in cocoa powder flour and salt and mix to combine. Add in remaining wine and soaked cherries.
Pour into prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let cool slightly before cutting. Enjoy!
