Ingredients

3 eggs, separated

1/3 cup sugar

2 cups whole milk

1pt heavy cream

4 ounces bourbon

3 ounces spiced rum
-
1/4 teaspoon allspice

1/2 cinnamon stick

1/3 teaspoon ground ginger

Pinch of grated nutmeg
Directions
- In a large bowl, beat together the egg yolks and half a cup of sugar until they turn light in colour.
- Stir in the milk, spices, heavy cream, bourbon, and rum.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites with the remaining quarter cup of sugar until they form soft peaks.
- Fold about a third of the egg whites into the yolk mixture.
- Serve in punch or tea cups.
- Top with crushes ginger snaps, and some grated nutmeg.
