Grilled pineapple pickles
Ingredients
- 1 pineapple
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes *more if you like spicy
- 2 cups white sugar
- 2 cups rice wine vinegar
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons salt
Directions
- Mix vinegar, water, salt and sugar together. Add chili flakes.
- Peel and core your pineapple, and grill.
- Slice into thick one centimeter slices.
- Add pickling liquid to the pineapple and let it sit in a mason jar for at least two days. Use as needed.
