Healthy, homemade chicken fingers


  • Skinless, boneless chicken breasts cut into 1 centimeter strips
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup bread crumbs
  • Salt and pepper
  • 2 tablespoons canola oil


  1. Pat the chicken dry with a paper towel and season with garlic powder, salt and pepper.
  2. In three separate bowls place the flour in one, egg mix in another and breadcrumbs in a third.
  3. Dip the chicken first in the flour then egg and finally the bread crumbs shaking off any excess every step of the way.
  4. In a large skillet on medium heat add the oil and pan fry the fingers until golden brown and cooked thru about 5 min.
