Korean noodles with grilled short rib

  • 1.4 kilograms Korean style short rib
  • 1-1/2 cup bean sprouts
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 300 grams rice noodles
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup gochujang
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 bunch green onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup sesame seeds
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil


  1. Place ribs on hot, oiled grill pan with salt and pepper, three minutes or so per side. 
  2. Place rice noodles in boiling salted water. 
  3. Mix marinade ingredients.
  4. Flip ribs after three minutes then pour half of marinade on meat, reserving other half for noodles. 
  5. Once ribs are cooked, add bean sprouts and onion to pan to soften.
  6. Remove noodles and add to bowl of remaining marinade. Toss and place on serving platter. 
  7. Top with cooked meat, vegetables, and add additional scallion and sesame seeds!!
