Ingredients
3 cups flour
3/4 cup sugar
4 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup cold butter cut into small pieces
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1 cup evaporated tin milk
1 cup raisins or currants
2 tablespoons lemon juice
Directions
In a large bowl add in mix together the dry ingredients.
Add the butter and rub into the flour mix ingredients until small peas sized shapes.
Add the raisins.
Mix together the lemon juice, vanilla and milk. Pour into the middle of the butter flour mixture and mix only enough so it forms into a ball.
Roll out to a six millimeter thickness and cut out buns with a knife or cookie cutter.
Place them on parchment lined baking tray.
Bake at 375 degrees F for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
Baking time will vary by size of biscuit.
