Slow cooker spiced apple cider

Nothing screams a fall drink more than a delicious spiced apple cider. This recipe by Vijaya Selvaraju is super simple to make since all you need is a slow cooker!

Ingredients
- 8 apples (Gala, Fuji, Cortland, Mutsu, etc), quartered
- 1 orange, quartered
- 1 lemon, quartered
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 star anise
- 2 slices fresh ginger
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- Water
Directions
- Place all ingredients in slow cooker, and cover with water until it is almost full. Cook on high for four hours.
- Open slow cooker, mash the fruit until pulpy, and cook for an additional hour on high.
- Strain through a fine mesh sieve into a pitcher and serve warm. Garnish with slices of fresh orange and apple, and a cinnamon stick. Enjoy!
