Sweet wheat bowl (grano dolce)
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups (360 milliliters) wheat berries
- 1/3 cup (80 milliliters) sugar
- 86 grams dark chocolate
- 3/4 cup (180 milliliters) walnuts
- 1 pomegranate
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliter) cinnamon
- Vincotto
Directions
- Soak the wheat berries for 12 hours in cool water. Drain, then boil in salted water until soft, about one hour. Drain, then add sugar, mix well, and set aside.
- Roughly chop chocolate and walnuts. Remove seeds from pomegranate. Add pomegranate seeds, walnuts, chocolate, and cinnamon to wheat berries and mix well.
- Divide into serving bowls, then add as much Vincotto (see recipe) to each bowl as desired.
