Waffle ice cream sandwich bar
Ingredients
- 1 cup (250 milliliters) all-purpose flour
- 2 teaspoons (10 milliliters) baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon (2 milliliters) white sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon (1 milliliter) salt
- 3/4 cup (175 milliliters) 2% whole milk
- 1 egg
Directions
- Preheat a non-stick waffle iron. In a large bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. In a separate bowl, whisk together the milk and egg. Add the wet ingredients to the dr ingredients and stir until the batter is smooth.
- Grease the waffle iron, ladle in the batter, and cook for five minutes, or until the waffles are golden brown. Let the waffles cool on a rack for about one minute.
- To garnish, spread chocolate hazelnut spread on one side of both waffles. Add a slab of vanilla ice cream - close the sandwiches, stick marshmallows to the ice cream and torch - sprinkle with crumbled graham crackers.
