With more than 24-years of experience in Household Management, Charles is also the founder and president of Charles MacPherson Associates Inc. – a firm that offers consulting and training as well as placement services to the luxury residential and hospitality markets worldwide. In 2009 Charles opened North America’s only registered school for Butlers & Household Managers in Toronto.
Throughout his career, Charles has consulted with both residential and hospitality clients in North America, UK, Europe, South Africa, and China – making him the international authority in the Household Management and Butler fields respectively. Most recently, Charles has completed assignments at some of the leading hotel properties in China, India, and France. Charles has also personally written the department standards and was the lead team trainer for Queen Mary 2, Fouquette's Barrière Hôtel and Taj Hotels Resorts & Palaces, along with being the lead trainer for the Butler department of the Four Seasons Hotel in Shanghai.
In 2011, Charles became a member of the prestigious PDA-POA (Protocol & Diplomacy International – Protocol Officers Association) and is a founding member in DEMA (Domestic Estate Managers Association). Charles was also a keynote speaker at The Leading Hotels of the World and APNA (Association of Premier Nanny Agencies) annual convention.
