How the Black Youth School Success Initiative is making a big difference in Black youth

They offer everything from tutoring programs to internships.

A project out of the Peel District School Board's We Rise Together action plan, The Black Youth School Success Initiative brings together Black-led organizations, schools, and mainstream community agencies to provide support for Black youth in the Peel region. Delivered through a culturally appropriate lens, while understanding the lived experiences of Black youth, the program provides support in academics, mentorship, self-esteem and more.
