'Tis the season to sit back, relax and binge-watch all the shows and movies to your heart's desire while munching on holiday leftovers. Thankfully, all the major streaming services have plenty of new movies and series to check out, from comedies and dramas and more. Etalk host Lainey Lui is helping us end our year with her top recommendations on Crave, Netflix and Amazon Prime Video

Sex Lives of College Girls on Crave

The Sex Lives of College Girls (which just got renewed for a second season), takes us into the world of the fictional, elite Essex College. It stars Reneé Rapp, Alyah Chanelle Scott, Pauline Chalamet, and Amrit Kaur as four college freshman roommates who are just figuring this whole young adult-life thing out. And yes, it gets awkward. A lot.

1 Queen 5 Queers on Crave

If you were a fan of 1 GIRL 5 GAYS back in 2009, you’re in for a treat! Television personality and celebrated drag queen Brooke Lynn Hytes—resident judge on Crave Original’s Canada’s Drag Race—is ready to lead hot and fiery discussions on this new show. 1 Queen 5 Queers brings together a group of diverse voices to speak openly and honestly through fast-paced, no-holds-barred conversations. This new take will provide a platform for a broad range of queer voices and reflect the awareness and values of a new generation of viewers.

And Just Like That... on HBO Max

The women of Sex and the City transition from the friendship they had in their 30s to a more complicated reality of life and friendship in their 50s. Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, and Kristin Davis return as Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte, respectively, whereas Samantha has moved to London since Kim Cattrall chose not to reprise her role. Chris Noth, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, and Evan Handler all return to portray their characters from the original series.

Don't Look Up on Netflix

Streaming just in time for Christmas, Don’t Look Up finds Jennifer Lawrence and Leonardo DiCaprio playing a pair of intrepid astronomers as they try to warn the world about a planet-killing comet that’s hurtling toward Earth. Meryl Streep and Timothee Chamalet round out this star-studded cast.

The Tender Bar on Amazon Prime Video

Directed by George Clooney with a screenplay by William Monahan, The Tender Bar is based on the 2005 memoir of the same name by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist J. R. Moehringer. The movie chronicles Moehringer's childhood in Long Island and narrates how in the absence of a father figure, he finds himself bonding with his uncle and the various patrons of a bar. The movie stars Ben Affleck, Tye Sheridan, Lily Rabe, Christopher Lloyd, Daniel Ranieri, and Ron Livingston, among others.
