Taking care of your skin is essential but it's even more important to know what type of skin you have. This way, you can treat it with products geared towards your skintype and achieve better results. Beauty expert Shari Koffman is here to share her picks of products that every skintype from dry, oily and aging, should be using.

OILY SKIN

You'll know you have oily skin when your face appears shiny in the t-zone (your forehead and nose) during the day. Makeup doesn't stay on and seems to slide off your skin easily. A trait of oily skin can also be enlarged pores and blackheads. Face masks are a great way to combat this; they're easy to use, fun to apply and great for delivering results fast.

L’Oréal Paris Pure Clay Cleansing Mask

This cleansing mask has 3 different clays which draws out dirt, oil beneath and on top of the skin. It'll leave you with refreshed, healthy less shiny skin! Apply it on your t-zone (forehead and nose) or all over the face for 10 minutes.

$12.99 via L'Oreal

The Body Shop Seaweed Oil Balancing Clay Face Mask

This clay mask is great because it has seaweed from Ireland that is mineral rich and can clarify, matify and refresh skin. It's works great either all over the face, as a spot treatment or all over the t-zone.

$24 via The Body Shop

DRY SKIN

If you have flaky skin that tends to feel tight, you probably have dry skin. Your skin produces less sebum so it's important to give your skin constant moisture to protect it. Hydrating your skin is also a great way to slow down the process of aging and to ensure that your makeup blends into your skin rather than sitting on top of it.

Estée Lauder Recovery Powerfoil Mask

Each of these sheetmasks contain 2 doses of hyaluronic acid and oEstée Lauder’s Advanced Night Repair Serum! This is sure to give your dry skin the moisture it needs. Not only does it moisturize, but it also helps repair acne scars and dark spots.

$25 per sheet mask via Sephora

Olay Regenerist Luminous Overnight Mask

An overnight mask is perfect for giving your skin hydration all night long so you can wake up with smooth and dewy skin. If you use this mask continuously it'll even out your skin tone and increase hydration levels! It's a great option to use in the winter or for days when your skin is feeling extra dry.

$34.99 via Amazon

Garnier Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask

Place this sheet mask on your face and let it hydrate your skin for 10-15 minutes. This one contains green tea which will help balance the skin! A really good tip is to use the rest of the serum in the packet on your neck and other areas of your body that need hydration.

$3.28 per sheet mask via Walmart

AGING SKIN

As we grow older our skin tends to change as well. The skin becomes a lot more thin and has a loss of elasticity. Deeper wrinkles and fine lines start to appear round sensitive areas like the eyes and mouth. Aging skin is completely normal but these masks are a great way to have your skin stay firm and fresh looking.

Clarins Super Restorative Serum Sheet Mask

What's great about this sheet mask is that it extends to your neck as well. A lot of people tend to ignore the neck when it comes to moisturzing but the neck is the first place you'll notice where you start to age. This is a sheet mask you'll want to put on the skin for 30 minutes - perfect for when you're taking a bath or want to relax. It'll firm, tighten, restore moisture and radiance!

$23 per sheet mask via Clarins

Guerlain Super Aqua Mask

For 6 intenstive sheet masks, you get active ingredients that equal to a 30ml bottle of serum! This sheet mask is great for hydration and contains antiaging benefits that'll leave you with plump and radiant skin.

$162 via Sephora
