Glasses wearers are sometimes at a disadvantage when it comes to wearing makeup. From small smudges of foundation rubbing off to lashes hitting the lenses, there's nothing more frustrating than having all of your makeup rubs off onto your frames. Makeup Artist Veronica Chu shared her best techniques that will enhance facial features while also preventing common issues that many glasses wearers deal with!
When applying your makeup, using a magnifying mirror will help you blend your products out seamlessly and make a huge difference in your final result. Once you've finished your makeup routine, make sure to set your face! Using an effective setting spray or pressed powder will prevent any concealer or foundation from rubbing onto your glasses. Another great tip is to use a water-resistant brow tool so that your glasses don't pick up any product.
When it comes to wearing darker framed glasses, such as black or tortoiseshell, you don't need to go heavy on the eye makeup. Dark frames tend to mimic the look of eyeliner, meaning that you can focus on a nice lip colour. Putting on the perfect red lip while keeping the rest of your makeup simple and classic will look sophisticated, yet playful.

Thin aviator glasses have been a huge trend lately and while they look flattering on the nice, they're often very large. To draw attention to your eyes rather than the bottom fo your frames, keep your eyebrows on the softer side using a brow gel. Adding a cat-eye wing will help keep the elongated and lifted look while also compensating for the long nature of aviator glasses. Don't be afraid to try a bold colour, such as green or purple, for your cat eye to create a more playful makeup look! Load your lashes with mascara to bulk up your lash line and avoid your eyes getting lost behind the big frames.

If your frames have a bit of colour in them, such as peach or pastel pink, get creative with your eyeshadow. Going for a golden smokey eye will help contrast the soft tone of your glasses while also complementing your eye colour. For this look, a clear brow gel is a great tool to make your eyebrows soft and fluffy rather than super dark. To avoid too many contrasting colours, keep your cheeks and lips a soft salmon or tan and swipe on a hint of gloss!
