Ingredients
For the Salted Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 6 tbsp cold butter
- ½ cup 35% whipping cream
- ½ tsp kosher salt
To Assemble
- 2 cups ice
- ½ cup strong coffee, cooled to room temperature
- ½ cup table cream
- Whipped cream for garnish
Directions
- To a medium saucepan on medium-high heat, add the sugar. Start whisking the sugar, and continue until it has completely melted. Then stop whisking, and continue cooking until the sugar takes on a deep amber colour.
- Add the butter, and whisk to combine. Then take the pot off the stove, and stir in the whipping cream. Transfer to a jar and cool completely.
- To assemble the drink, add the ice, coffee, table cream, and ⅓ of the salted caramel to a blender. Blend until smooth, then pour into a glass. Garnish with whipped cream and more salted caramel.
