Bougie Grilled Cheese

1 sandwich

Ingredients

  • 2 slices white sourdough bread
  • 3 slices brick mozzarella
  • 2 slices black truffle gouda
  • 20gr grated parmigiano reggiano
  • 3 tbsp softened salted butter
  • 2 tbsp red pepper jelly
  • 3 tbsp good quality pesto to dip
  • 3-4 cornichons pickles

Directions

  1. Add the sliced mozzarella to one side of the sliced bread
  2. Add the sliced truffle gouda on top of the sliced mozzarella
  3. Slather the red pepper jelly onto the other slice of bread
  4. Close the sandwich
  5. Layer both sides of the exterior slices of bread with the butter. Be generous here
  6. Sprinkle both sides of the grated parmesan onto the buttered bread slices
  7. Use a medium size non stick pan and place onto medium high heat
  8. Add buttered sandwich into pan and cook for about 2-3 minutes or until golden brown
  9. Gently flip the sandwich and cook for another 2 minutes or so or until golden brown again
  10. Once golden brown on both sides, remove from heat and let rest for 1 minutes before cutting in half
  11. Serve with pesto as a dip and garnish with cornichons pickles
  12. Enjoy
