Ingredients

Garnish Ingredients:

  • 4 cannoli shells broken into pieces
  • 1/4 cup crushed pistachios
  • 1/4 cup crushed candied almonds
  • 1/4 cup shaved dark chocolate
  • 1/4 cup shaved milk chocolate
  • 1/4 cup candied citrus

Cannoli filling mixture:

  • 250gr creamy cows milk ricotta
  • 250gr mascarpone cheese
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 zest of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 crispy chocolate pearls (milk or dark)
  • 2 small pinches of salt
  • 1 small pinch of black pepper

Directions

  1. In mixing bowl, add ricotta and mascarpone and whip together using a wooden spoon. Whip until creamy smooth and creamy
  2. Add vanilla, lemon zest, chocolate pearls, salt and pepper and whip all together to incorporate all ingredients
  3. On a large dinner plate or ideally a large wooden charcuterie board, add small piles of the garnish ingredients onto the board (It’s almost like you are making a charcuterie board with the garnish ingredients)
  4. Add broken cannoli shells to the board as well
  5. Lastly, add 2-3 large dollop of the cannoli mixture to the board

**The idea is to add the cannoli mixture to the broken cannoli shells and then to dip into your favorite garnishes on the board
