6 slices angel food cake (homemade or store bought)
6 slices fresh pineapple, cored
½ cup (125 mL) caramel sauce (homemade or store bought)
Vanilla ice cream, for serving (optional)
Directions
Preheat your grill to medium-high and ensure it is clean.
Grill the cake slices for about a minute on each side, until lightly toasted grill marks are visible. If you have space, grill the pineapple slices at the same time, or after the cake has been grilled.
Serve the cake slices with the pineapple and a generous drizzle of warmed caramel sauce, and a scoop of ice cream if you wish.
