Sesame Crusted Tuna with Pineapple Salsa

Ingredients

Pineapple salsa:

  • 2 cups of fresh pineapple, diced
  • 2 cups of cucumber, diced
  • 1 cup cilantro, finely chopped
  • ½ cup red onion, diced
  • 1 finger chili, finely sliced
  • Juice from 2 limes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1 tsp cumin

Sesame crusted Tuna:

  • 2 yellow fin tuna steaks
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup sesame seeds
  • ¼ cup black sesame seeds

Directions

For the Pineapple salsa:

  1. Mix all ingredients together in a bowl, set aside in the fridge.

For the Sesame crusted Tuna:

  1. Sprinkle sesame seeds onto a plate and coat tuna filet on both sides.
  2. Sear tuna in a nonstick pan over medium heat for 2 minutes per side.
  3. Serve tuna with pineapple salsa and enjoy!
