Spritz O’Clock & Snacks

Ingredients

Cheese:

  • 5 oz (140 g) Piave cheese (preferably 1-year aged)
  • 5 oz (140 g) Friulano cheese

Accompaniments:

  • 5 oz (140 g) soppressata, thinly sliced
  • 5 oz (140 g) olive oil–marinated artichoke hearts
  • Good-quality salt-flavored kettle chips
  • Green Bella di Cerignola olives
  • Italian fennel taralli
  • Good-quality orange jam or marmalade
  • Spiced mixed nuts
  • Baguette, sliced and toasted

Aperol Spritz:

  • Ice
  • 2 1⁄2 oz prosecco
  • 1 1⁄2 oz Aperol
  • 3⁄4 oz club soda
  • 1 medium-thick orange slice

Directions

To make the Aperol Spritz:

  1. Fill a large stemmed red wine glass three-quarters of the way with ice.
  2. Add the prosecco, Aperol, and club soda and gently stir to combine.
  3. Drop in the orange slice or place it on the edge of the glass as a garnish.
